Riders face limitations in where they can take their boards, often resorting to hiding them or risking theft when left unattended. This lack of security discourages riders from using their boards in certain environments.
Insight:
The absence of skateboard locks isn’t due to a lack of demand but rather a lack of awareness and viable solutions. Many riders don’t realize a lock could exist, yet they frequently express frustration about restrictions on bringing boards into certain buildings. A well designed, purpose built lock would allow riders to confidently take their boards anywhere, expanding freedom and security.
